Stranger than Fiction
The movie raises some question such as what our role in the world is and if we really shape our lives but according to Harold we might not shape our lives because the narrator is saying everything he is about to do and is doing and it accurately happens so this might mean that the world does shape our lives or some other force like a book or an author might shape our lives. Also the movie tries to answer if we have the freedom to choose for ourselves and the answer is that we do because Harold life seemed to already laid out but once he realized he wanted something different for his life he chose what he wanted to do and the narrator stopped narrating. When Harold is trying to figure out what book he is in possibly, the question comes up of how we are suppose to live our lives with so many uncertainties and lack of knowledge and the simple thing is just to choose what we want to do and expose our true personalities, Harold accomplishes this by taking off his job and buying a guitar that he always wanted and doing other things that he has wanted to do rather than doing the daily routine he had always done that was chosen for him.

Fate, Free Will, Determinism
Fate is not one of my beliefs but it is the natural order of the unvierse. There are things in the world that seem they are meant to happen. Fate is destiny, destiny is fate. Free Will is just as believable as fate because we cannot know if there are a chain of pre-determined events or if we have control over our actions/outcomes because most of the choices you make you don't have another chance to remake the choice to see if there is a different outcome and if the universe is deterministic free will is virtually impossible in the universe because of the effect of past events. In Determisnism, the level in which people have effect on their future is depedent on the present and the past.
