The Cathedral Number 4
Why the ending is so perfect is because throughout the protagonist is accommodating the blind man and trying to be kind to him because of the loss of his wife by spending time with the blind man. As the protagonist spends more and more time with the blind man and he eventually becomes comfortable around the blind man as they are imagining of a cathedral by making a drawing together which creates a friendship between them in the end and the protagonist feels that the experience of the blind man helping him draw a picture of great cathedral is something he has never experienced in his life which made his the day perfect when he thought it wouldn't be and it was just a happy ending.
